The Methodists first appeared in Turin in 1880 when Bernardo Bracchetto became pastor of the Episcopalian Methodist Church, and founded a small congregation. The temple was constructed in 1897, as a fundamental step in the expansion of this church in the community. The building was designed by the architect Rodolfo Buti. It is made up a single square room, supported by small neo-gothic arches, and from the inside it opens onto a courtyard: the lack of direct light is resolved with an overhead window in the center of the room. In the 1960s The Methodist church began negotiating to sell the temple – as it had already been destined to other uses for some time. It was sold in 1975.
