Carefully read the Privacy policy described below.

These pages describe the website management methods as related to the processing of users' personal data. This policy is provided as set forth in Section 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 (Code regarding the protection of personal data) to those who interact with the Waldensian Board’s web services, which can be accessed on-line at the address www.patrimonioculturalevaldese.org (the website).

Data Controller
Visiting this site may result in the processing of data concerning identified or identifiable persons: the Data Controller is the Waldensian Board, located in Torre Pellice (TO), Via Beckwith, 2.

Data processing location
The processing operations related to this website’s web-based services are carried out at the above-mentioned office of the Waldensian Board exclusively by authorized staff or by persons appointed, if necessary, to perform occasional maintenance operations. No data acquired through web services is divulged. Furthermore, the personal data provided by users via e-mail is used exclusively to contact the person concerned who requested it and/or to carry out the requested service.

Categories of Processed Data
A) Navigation Data
The information systems and software procedures used in the operation of this web site acquire personal data as part of their standard functioning; the transmission of such data is an inherent feature of Internet communication protocols. Such information is not collected in order to relate it to identified data subjects; however, by its very nature, it might allow user identification after being processed and matched with data held by third parties.
This data category includes IP addresses or the domain names of the computers used by the users connecting with this web site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the requested resources, the time of such requests, the method used for submitting a given request to the server, the size of the file received in response, a numerical code indicating the server’s response status (successfully performed, error, etc.), and other parameters related to the user's operating system and computer environment.
This data is only used to extract anonymous statistical information on website use as well as to check its functioning. The data may be used to establish liability in case of hypothetical cyber-crimes committed against the website.

B) Data Provided by Users Voluntarily
Sending e-mail messages to the addresses mentioned on this website, which is done on the basis of a discretional, explicit, and voluntary option, inherently results in acquisition of the sender's address, which is necessary in order to reply to any request, as well as of such additional personal data as is contained in the message. Even partial failure to provide the abovementioned data could compromise the company’s ability to reply to the message sent by the person concerned and to satisfy their requests.
This policy explains how the abovementioned Waldensian Board gathers, archives and uses your data and the choices you can make regarding the collection and use of your personal data. By using the website or checking the pertinent boxes in the consent Form during initial registration, you will accept this policy.
Data processing procedures
Personal data is processed using computerized instruments for as long as is strictly necessary to achieve the objectives for which it was collected. Specific security measures are followed to prevent the loss of data, its illicit or incorrect use, and unauthorized access.

Cookies
Cookies are a small packet of data, often containing a unique anonymous identification code, that is sent to your browser (the software which allows you to browse online) by a Web server and which is later saved on your computer’s hard disk. The cookie is then re-read and recognized by the website which sent it on every following visit. This simplifies your recurring visits, and increases the site’s usefulness to your benefit. Cookies are important, as they allow a quicker and more immediate browsing among various websites. There are several types of cookies, such as those used for user profiling, for collecting statistical data, or for sending commercial offers based on acquired information.

No user’s personal data in regards to this is acquired by the website.

No persistent cookies (user-tracking systems) of any kind are used by this website. We exclusively use so-called “technical” cookies, meaning those which are used “only to carry out the transmission of a message on an electronic communications network, or insofar as this is strictly necessary to the provider of an information society service that has been explicitly requested by the contracting party or user to provide said service."
The so-called “session” cookies (which are not memorized permanently on the user’s computer, as they disappear when the browser is closed) that we use avoid using other computer techniques which could potentially be detrimental to the users’ browsing privacy, and do not permit the acquisition of identifying personal data. The website also gathers Google Analytics cookies with anonymized IP, that can therefore be assimilated to technical cookies. Google Analytics’ personal data processing policy is available at this address: http://www.google.com/intl/it/policies/privacy/.

In accordance with current policy, Waldensian Board is not required to ask for consent for the technical cookies used by the website, as they are necessary to provide the services requested.

Furthermore, we remind users that for every other type of cookie they can express their consent through one or more of the following methods:

• by specifically setting the browser or of any computer applications used to browse the pages that make up the website.

• by modifying the settings concerning third-party service use. Either of these solutions might prevent the user from using or accessing parts of the website.

The user can block or limit the reception of cookies through their browser’s settings. A browser plug-in that deactivates Google Analytics’ JavaScript, to prevent Google Analytics from using your personal data, is available at this address https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=it.

Moreover, brief instructions and links to the developers’ complete instructions on how to disable cookies through browser settings for the main available browsers are provided below.

We can also share our subscribers’ data if we believe – in good faith – that it is required by laws and /or regulations in effect, or that revealing it might prevent a crime, facilitate a public security investigation, protect the safety of whoever uses our website (especially children), or to protect the safety and integrity of our websites, within the limits allowed by law;
if we use external managers to handle and process the data provided pursuant to the objectives laid out and communicated in the present policy, for example hosting activities connected to the use of our websites. Furthermore, some data may be shared with third parties (such as, for example, auditors or legal counselors) to obtain their professional opinion. This treatment will be regulated by an agreement in accordance with the law, so as to safeguard personal data protection rights.
